Powdered sugar: 1/2 cup (100grams)

Melted ghee/clarified butter: 1/2 cup (125ml)

All-purpose flour/maida: 1 cup (120 grams)

Desiccated coconut: 1/2 cup (50 to 75 grams)

Baking powder: 1/2 teaspoon

How To Make Coconut Cookies Recipe

Apply ghee to a steel plate, dust with flour. Set aside.

Add 1/2 cup of powdered sugar into a bowl, add 1/2 cup of melted ghee/clarified butter and whisk for a couple of minutes.

Add 1 cup of all-purpose flour/maida and 1/2 cup of desiccated coconut and 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder, mix it well with a whisk.

Using hands knead gently. Add 1-2 tablespoons of milk if required. Mix everything until well combined and cookie dough is ready.

Place a steel stand in the base of a frying pan/skillet. Cover and preheat on low heat.

Take small portions of dough and roll into a small ball and flatten. Roll well in desiccated coconut. Place it on a floured plate.

Place on stand in a frying pan and bake for 25-30 minutes over low heat until they change into golden color.

Remove cookies from skillet and allow to cool completely prior to eating.

Kitchen Notes:

If you prefer to use your oven, bake 12-15 minutes at 180 degrees Celsius (360F) in a preheated oven.
